Larry Wallach, President
Larry's career in family law, coupled with his service as a Guardian ad Litem and other pro bono activities, ignited his interest in addressing inequities in the lives of youth in New England and beyond.
Larry has spent 20 years volunteering with organizations driving positive change, working within them in many capacities, including program delivery, grant selection and Board participation.
He is particularly passionate about the potential for “venture philanthropy” to address social problems and dedicated to realizing the promise of this approach.
Darcy Brownell, Executive Director
Darcy has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and
philanthropic fields. Much of Darcy's career has been spent working in and supporting organizations dedicated to ensuring access and opportunity
for all young people.
Darcy provides strategic and administrative support for the Foundation.

Jo’s interest in studying human disease was first piqued when she was an undergraduate intern in the UK and was fortunate enough to be offered a position researching inflammatory bowel disease. After graduati
Jo has had a successful career in scientific research and is currently Founder and CEO of a startup life science biotech company. Jo’s interest in studying human disease was first piqued when she was an undergraduate intern in the UK and was fortunate enough to be offered a position researching inflammatory bowel disease. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biophysics and a PhD in immunology, Jo moved to the USA and launched her career in biotech researching a broad range of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
Throughout her career, Jo has been a champion for diversity in the workplace. She is passionate about building a more welcoming and inclusive environment for women and other under-served and under-represented groups in biotech, and in stem in general. Jo can be found volunteering her time at organizations supporting education and career development in the life sciences.

Amelia (Millie) Wallach is a George Washington University undergraduate majoring in Human Services and Social Justice and Communication.

Amelia (Millie) Wallach is a George Washington University undergraduate majoring in Human Services and Social Justice and Communication.
An active intern and volunteer going back to high school in Boston, Millie is currently engaged with the diverse communities in the DC area. Applying her collegiate learnings to the real world has allowed Millie to form deep bonds within these communities. Her hands-on experience in the field informs her efforts to help alleviate and bring awareness to the issues confronting these communities, such as violence, the struggles of unhoused individuals, and racial inequities.
Millie has volunteer experience with various youth groups in Boston and DC, including the YWCA GOLD program, Little Friends for Peace, and Rosie’s Place. She has served in multiple capacities over the past four years at YMCA Camp Coniston, managing staff and campers and handling issues pertaining to the successful running of the camp’s programs. She most recently gained a great deal of experience in her role as Division Leader last summer.
Millie has a passion for philanthropy and directly helping others. Her goals are to leave the world a better place by participating in direct service and utilizing her education and experience to improve the organizations that make a real impact in the communities we share.
